We are excited to announce that we have changed our name from drfocused (and the name of our product ‘Medic Passport’) to Credentially.
Our business has transformed in the past few years and our new identity helps us retain what we stand for, whilst moving our company forward to include all Health and Care workers and their employers.
Since we started in 2016, the scope of what we do has increased significantly. We started by helping employers manage their relationships with their doctors but in the past year, we have expanded our product to help nurses, physiotherapists and AHP's, as well as non-clinical staff. Because of to this we decided we needed a new name that shows our product can help all 1.8M UK workers in Health and Care.
Credentially values
Credentially exists to improve patient safety, and reduce admin work in Healthcare. That's our mission.
#1 – We’re supportive.
People should feel supported in their use of software—especially for work as critical as healthcare—so we’re always on the side of our customers and users.
- Making films. Credentially goes beyond the minimum, distinguishing itself in its treatment of customers. Our closeness to the customer situation means we can share insight beyond our software. One customer wanted to make some video training material, so we gave some advice and even lent them some equipment, all with no fee.
- Beyond support requests. A great Credentially feature is the reminder notice about training, triggered by the expiration of training currency. One customer replied to our auto email, looking to source a medical training course. This is not in our wheelhouse, and above and beyond our service—but we did the research and passed on some ideas, and we’re proud to have helped.
#2 – We’re knowledgeable.
Our tech team is world class. We have a bird’s eye view across the challenges and opportunities of the healthcare sector—and we speak with knowledge and experience.
- Leveraged knowledge. Credentially has gained a real insight into regulatory excellence, and we’re supported by the lawyers (DAC Beechcroft) who advise the Information Commissioner’s Office. We take the best advice and learn from the experiences of all our clients in aggregate. Then we work in a consulting capacity to guide clients into the sweet spot between anticipating CQC compliance and fostering great clinician experience.
- Data benchmarking. Credentially gathers data from a growing trove of data points. We’re developing reports on benchmarking, insights and other useful tools. Over time we’ll increasingly be offering a sense-making piece—sharing this data to help turn the ‘art of hiring’ into the ‘science of hiring’ in healthcare. This data provides the closest thing to a straight answer to the question ‘what we should do?’
#3 – We’re relevant.
We’re for healthcare because we’re from healthcare—we target our product at the health sector—so we speak precisely and clearly to busy people.
- Just for healthcare. Most SaaS is ‘vertically agnostic’—meaning it has wide enough functionality to be adapted to any industry. Credentially, however, is designed and optimised for the unique pressures and demands on the healthcare sector. This avoids a maze of irrelevant features which users need to ignore—but it also means we can focus on automation to an unparalleled degree, including extensive database integration (see website for details).
- Automated failsafe. In healthcare, it’s hard to stay across the currency of staff compliance to training standards and norms. Credentially’s database integrations mean that clinicians are not just ‘red-flagged’ when they fall out of compliance, they’re actually blocked from booking shifts—adding a ‘failsafe’ layer that prevents human error before it can happen.
#4 – We’re reliable.
Healthcare is literally life and death—we take our work very seriously. Reliability is a baseline, a foundation in our personality.
- Sector-specific updates. Credentially offers a crucial difference—as conditions in the healthcare sector change, we’re not just responsive to change, we’re ahead of it. Often we’re aware of impending changes to compliance frameworks before a customer hears of them—so we bring the news to customers and give them a competitive edge in adaptation.
- Round the clock support. Credentially goes above and beyond to be reliable for clients. One client with ambitious deadlines was onboarding, and sending emails at 1 am on Saturday night—we replied all weekend. When the same client underwent their crucial CQC audit, our team sat poised for the pre-audit organisational restructure.
What rebranding means for our customers
We will continue to deliver a great service, with our clients’ needs at the forefront of everything we do. The product will not change significantly. However, there are a couple of updates:
- Credentially will have a new logo and brand colours. The new identity will appear in the product and email notifications.
- Our website will move to credentially.io.
- System notifications will be coming from team@credentially.io. There shouldn’t be any service disruptions. However, if you won’t be getting our emails, please check your Spam folder and add our new address to the White List.
- You will have a new login page. We will use a similar standard formula to construct our client’s account’s addresses. For example:
Fantastichealth.medpassport.app -> Fantastichealth.credentially.io
We will keep redirecting you to the right address, so there is no need to worry.
Brand manifesto
Healthcare employment can be a bottleneck or a blessing—it all depends on the right tools.
